Braided Packing/PTFE Yarn, Aramid Corners

CONSTRUCTION

WGS Style-797 Multiyarn packing made from pure Aramid fibres corners with Pure PTFE fibres at the running surface.

APPLICATION / SERVICE

WGS Style-797 packing, with its unique combination of PTFE and aramid fibers, is dimensionally stable, non-contaminating, has excellent lubricating and running characteristics, and because of the aramid corners, is very wear resistant. It handles acids, alkalis, and a broad range of chemicals. It is well suited for service in rotary and reciprocating pumps, mixers, agitators and reactors, especially where abrasive wear is a problem.

A Carbon Fiber packing reinforced with Expanded Graphite along the cross section, Impregnated with inert Graphite. Available with or without Break-In lubricant. Variances with PTFE, Graphite dispersion available. Metallic Expanded Graphite along the cross section is also available.

Material composition:

Flexible Graphite tape layered with adhesive and reinforcing fibres, such as Cotton ,glass, stainless steel, inconel or carbon. It can be converted into a yarn, Which can be braided into packing.

Properties:

Flexible Graphite packing have a low coefficient of friction, a pH range of 0 to 14 And all noted for their excellent thermal properties, enabling them to be used in application to 2500º C atmospheres .Due to their temp. resistance and density, they make ideal steam Valve packing. The packing has almost universal chemical inertness and is naturally lubricious , compactable and resilient.

Rotary pumps and valves in power stations and boiler houses, in the petrochemical industry and many other industrial areas.

Steam water, Fuel gases, chemicals, mineral and synthetic oils, effluents, suitable in all processes except with highly oxidizing

00% Pure GFO Fiber Packing authenticated with printed identification all along the packing surface. Single molecular PTFE and Graphite integration and built in Break-In lubricant in this packing supersedes all Graphited PTFE packings in sealing performance and life.
