Material composition

WGS Style 788 is diagonally braided from pure expanded flexible graphite reinforced with inconel wire at the corners with a high quality pure carbon yarn.

Properties

WGS Style 788 is the newest generation of graphite packings, specifically designed for very demanding applications. Because of the special construction style 788 can be used in areas where normal expanded graphite packings fail.

Application areas

This unique and extremely versatile packing can be used in all demanding applications, both static and dynamic. Style 788 does not suffer from limitations that prevent general service use in both pumps and valves. It is extremely well suited for high temperature - high pressure installations occuring in power stations, petrochemical plants, steel mills etc. .

Application media

Although designed with an eye on high temperature steam applications, style 788 can be used with all chemicals but the most aggressive acids. Very good all-purpose packing which can lower stock volumes considerably.
